This past weekend, the new UCSC California Alpha Delta Chapter of Tau Bata Pi hosted the Spring District 15 Conference of Tau Beta Pi.
The 2-day conference drew 65 officers and members of chapters from throughout the district, which includes northern California and Nevada. The students collaborated on chapter-issues, communication between the bay area chapters and developed plans for the future years of the organization. The program was presented by District 15 directors Scott Fable, Joe Burnett, and Pat Homen as well as organization Vice President Solange Dao. Local arrangements were spearheaded by UCSC TBP members Dewey Helvestine and John Burr. Jas Condley, President of the campus chapter, said that the district meeting was "Exceedingly successful, and accomplished a great deal in developing plans for the next several years of the local chapter. It's always a great time being with such an outstanding group of people, and fun was had as well."
